Have you ever thought “I really wish that Escape from Tarkov was more like Rainbow Six Siege and Apex Legends“? Yeah, neither had I. But this morning Battlestate Games has revealed Escape From Tarkov Arena, a brand new PvP spin-off of the hardcore military sim Escape From Tarkov.
Escape From Takov Arena will be a standalone game, that pits gladiators against each other in various locations strewn about Tarkov City. Battlestate Games has confirmed that the hardcore game mechanics that made Escape From Tarkov so revered will return, albeit in a faster-paces arena setting. The game will featured new PvP and PvE modes, and according to the developers, will allow you to play as your character from the main Escape From Tarkov game.
Pricing has not been revealed, but the release date for those on the Early Test Servers will be Fall, 2022. Battlestate Games say that those who own the Escape from Takov Edge of Darkness pack will have free access to Arena as DLC.
While it seems a little strange to create and entirely new product when Escape From Tarkov is still in beta with a myriad of missing features and optimization to be done, I’m excited to see what exactly Escape From Tarkov Arena will bring to the table when the alpha arrives sometime later this year.
