Purveyors of chaos Devolver Digital held their annual press conference during the “E3” window this year, revealing a few new games, and shedding some light on some previously known ones too. Here’s the roundup of all the trailers from the esoteric event hosted by Suda51.
Cult of Lamb | Massive Monster | August 11, 2022 | PC, Xbox, Switch
Cult of the Lamb from Massive Monster is a action adventure game that has has your starting a cult in a randomly generated world. Saved from slaughter by an ominous stranger, you must repay your life debt by creating a loyal following for their cause, building your flock, and ridding the land of the non-believers.
Cult of Lamb looks really interesting. If you want to learn more, you can check out the official website.
Anger Foot | Free Lives | 2023 | PC
Anger Foot, the next game from Free Lives (Broforce, Gorn, Genital Jousting) was revealed by literally kicking the door in on some anthropomorphic baddies. The official description from Devolver says that you will “crash through the caffeine-fuelled fever dream of Shit City, putting the boot to a menacing menagerie of merciless gangsters.“
Anger Foot is exclusively a PC joint, and has a demo available right now. You can check it out on the official website.
Skate Story | Sam Eng | 2023 | PC
Skate Story looks so damn weird; you play as a demon in the underworld who is made of glass. The devil has given you a chance to escape, but you must skate your way to the Moon and swallow it to be freed. Of course, being made of glass and pulling off kickflips and grinds is not really the hallmark of safety, and it looks like even the most minor of falls will call an end to your adventure.
Skate Story is currently only announced for PC. You can wishlist it here.
The Plucky Squire | All Possible Futures | 2023 | PC, Switch, PS5, Xbox
It’s strange to see Devolver Digital releasing something that seems to be an all-ages property, but even the edgiest punks have kids I guess. The Plucky Squire follows the journey of storybook character Jot and his friends, who escape the 2D confines of the book into the 3D world. You can jump between the 2D and 3D worlds, with puzzle solving and adventure awaiting.
